About the Owner

Meet Auston Wingard

Auston Wingard, P.E. is the founder and owner of 3D Frameworks, a structural engineering firm built around practical experience, technical expertise, and collaboration across the construction industry. 

 

Originally from Central Alabama, Auston earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and is a Licensed Professional Engineer specializing in structural engineering. 

 

Auston's approach to engineering was shaped long before his professional career. Growing up, he worked alongside his father and brother on residential construction projects, gaining firsthand experience with the materials, methods, and challenges encountered in the field. During high school and college, he continued to build on that foundation through hands-on labor and construction management positions. This combination of field experience and formal engineering education gives Auston a practical perspective that extends beyond calculations and drawings. 

 

At 3D Frameworks, Auston is focused on creating more than a traditional engineering firm. His vision is for 3D Frameworks to serve as a trusted liaison between the many professionals involved in bringing a project from concept to completion—including architects, general contractors, fabricators, rebar detailers, wood truss suppliers, and other specialty trades. 

 

By understanding how each discipline contributes to the overall project, 3D Frameworks strives to provide structural solutions that are not only technically sound, but also practical to construct, coordinate, fabricate, and implement in the field. 

 

Auston's goal is simple: bring engineering and construction closer together through better communication, practical design, and a deeper understanding of how projects are actually built.
